Read Fort Worth

Tough Stars Gives Back and our Fort Worth Hispanic Chamber of Commerce created a local campaign for grade-level reading. Read Fort Worth is an unprecedented coalition working to ensure that 100 percent of Fort Worth ISD third-graders are reading on grade level by 2025. The ability to comprehend reading material by third grade is valuable to lifelong learning. National studies show that students who do not read proficiently by third grade are four times more likely to not graduate high school than proficient readers.

Keynote speaker includes Anel Mercado, Executive Director of Read Fort Worth, with special remarks from Mayor Betsy Price and Dr. Scribner.

So far this year, Gabriel has raised $11,000 dollars for Read Fort Worth!
